Happy Holidays to all.
As many longtime football fans will remember, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers began their tenure in the National Football League in ominous and record-breaking fashion.
In 1976, they and the Seattle Seahawks took to the field as the league’s 27th and 28th franchises, the Bucs in the AFC West and the Seahawks in the NFC West. And while they were technically members of their respective divisions, their schedules saw them play each team in their conferences once, with a head-to-head matchup between the clubs (a year later, the Bucs would move to the NFC Central and the Seahawks to the AFC West, where both teams again would play each team in their new conferences and another game between themselves).
