Colts: Dynamic Duo in the Making in Indy?

Rome was not built in a day. Neither was the city of Indianapolis. And neither were dynamic duos in the NFL.
One is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The other may soon join him in Canton, Ohio.
Back in the day and teamed with quarterback Peyton Manning, Harrison and James were quite the pair and their production was impressive.
Many factors, including a rash of injuries at the skill positions, have played a huge role in the struggle of the 2018 Colts. But this past Sunday, Frank Reich’s team showed that they have no intentions on giving up on winning the AFC South. And following a 37-5 thrashing of the Buffalo Bills in Week 7, the rest of the division and the league will be dealing with quite the two-headed threat in running back Marlon Mack and wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. Both had missed their share of action to date but both were back in the lineup last Sunday against the Bills
The former carried 19 times for 126 yards and a score, caught two passes for 33 yards – including a 29-yard touchdown – and ran for a two-point conversion. “It feels great,” said Mack to Kevin Hickey of ColtsWire.com. “When Andrew (Luck) can just sit in the pocket and we can run the ball, it’s lovely and we always got to work together as a team…All 11 of us.”
Hilton also returned to action after suffering a chest and hamstring injuries. He missed the match-ups against the New England Patriots and New York Jets. He returned against Buffalo and caught four passes for 25 yards and like Mack, reached the end zone twice. And head coach Frank Reich was obviously pleased to have the seven-year pro back in the lineup. “First of all, just on an emotional level, knowing that he’s out there,” said the team’s sideline leader to Andrew Walker of Colts.com. “He’s one of our leaders. He’s been all-in in every way. He’s our playmaker. He came up big today with the two touchdowns, so a big lift for our whole offense.”
This Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts head to the Bay Area to face the Oakland Raiders before heading into their off-week. It’s a chance to inch closer to the .500 and an opportunity to win two games in a row for the first time this season. And speaking of two, T.Y. Hilton and Marlon Mack could be on the verge of making for quite the pair this year if they can stay healthy.
